Each year 12.7 million people discover they have cancer and 7.6 million people die from the disease, making cancer one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, the world’s oldest, private cancer center, has devoted more than 130 years to exceptional patient care, innovative research, and outstanding educational programs.
Pampered & PINK, founded by Amber Nobles, in 2014, provides fun, interactive, and educational events in Harlem, New York, with the goal of promoting knowledge and awareness about Breast Cancer for women in her community. After the tragic loss of her sister, Tswana Lin Saunders, to Inflammatory Breast Cancer in 2008, Amber became a Patient Volunteer Education Coordinator for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and subsequently founded Pampered and PINK in her sister’s memory.
